The Opamp Labs 116 Microphone Preamplifier was meant as a low power alternative to replace the venerable Langevin 116A/B. It operated on +-24v and  consisted of two transformers surrounding a 423 Opamp labs discrete operational amplifier (shown below). This unit did _not_ sound anywhere near as nice as a Langevin 116 by anyone's ears.
